A Distributor for Europe. Not Yet Africa.

By Delante L. Bess
September 2026

After twenty-two years without one, ServiceNow named Exclusive Networks its first-ever regional distributor in July, a two-tier model meant to bring smaller resellers, specialist service providers, and MSPs into the ecosystem through a lighter onboarding path than the direct relationships ServiceNow keeps with partners like Accenture, Deloitte, and KPMG. AI Control Tower serves as the initial route in, with a path for partners to graduate into ServiceNow's direct program as their practice matures.

I want this to be an Africa story. It is not, at least not yet, and I would rather tell you that plainly than oversell it.

ServiceNow's and Exclusive Networks' own announcements describe the agreement's scope as Europe and the Middle East. I checked the primary release directly: it commits to accelerating "adoption of AI-powered cybersecurity solutions across Europe and the Middle East." Africa is not named anywhere in it. Coverage that labels this an "EMEA" deal is describing Exclusive Networks' general footprint, which does include African operations elsewhere in its business, not the specific markets this particular distribution agreement was built to cover. Those are two different things, and it is easy to read the acronym and assume more than what was actually announced.

What is confirmed: ServiceNow is using a distributor, for the first time, to recruit and manage partners below its top tier, with onboarding, enablement, and transactional support handled by Exclusive Networks rather than directly. What is not confirmed anywhere in the public record: whether African markets sit inside Exclusive Networks' scope for this specific program, whether a firm based in Ghana, Kenya, or Morocco could onboard through it today, or whether this is a first phase ServiceNow intends to extend to the continent later.

A distributor model built for smaller, specialist partners is exactly the mechanism that could close ServiceNow's African partner gap. It has not reached the continent yet, as far as anything public confirms.

We have written before about that gap: ServiceNow's own Partner Finder lists Kenya and South Africa and stops there, with no listing for Ghana, Nigeria, or Morocco. We are pursuing formal ServiceNow partner status directly rather than waiting to find out whether this program extends south. Worth watching closely. Not yet worth assuming.
